To be an architect is an enormous responsibility.
I have always been intrigued by the power of a conceptual idea that may derive the design of a small detail or affect an entire eco-system.
I believe that our natural environment is the best guide from which to begin the design process. Our buildings need to respond to the very life that is contained within. Images may offer a glimpse of our aesthetic sensibilities but they can only represent a fragment of the thought process that goes into the creation of architectural space. The use of appropriate materials and details require thoughtful research into the construction techniques of the past and the science of the 21st Century.
During the last two decades it has been a great pleasure and privilege for me to build an architectural practice with a group of talented architects. I hope our work will be a testament of my dedication to the quality of living environments and the profession of architecture.
